I’m Becky Stone, a BACP-registered counsellor (MBACP 66946) and NCFED-trained eating disorder practitioner, based in Canterbury and working online across the UK. I specialise in anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, and disordered eating, with an approach that’s neurodivergent-affirming and shaped by my own lived experience of recovery. My approach is shaped not just by professional training, but by lived experience. I know what it’s like to walk a difficult path with food, body image, and the overwhelm that ADHD and dyslexia can bring. That’s shaped me into a therapist who understands what it feels like when the world’s solutions don’t seem to fit you.

Bulimia can mean a cycle of bingeing and purging that runs on secrecy and shame, especially hard to break when existing “recovery advice” doesn’t fit how your brain works.

Binge eating is the most common eating disorder, and often the least talked about. It’s rarely about willpower; it’s usually about emotional overwhelm, unmet needs, and sometimes undiagnosed neurodivergence.
